As an independent consultant for a large handbag company, our client needed a way to promote her special abilities as a consultant, raise awareness of her products and create an ongoing dialogue with prospects and customers to increase repeat purchases. In order to do so, it was important to get visitors to "Like" her page so that she could promote new products and specials. In addition, our client wanted to build a database of email addresses via Facebook to market to via additional channels.
Business needs and specific requests:
- Gain new fans
- Promote product awareness
- Capture email addresses
- Promote organic (cost free) sharing of the page
- Allow for people to email questions via Facebook
How we met these needs:
- The landing page we designed had a "reveal offer" placed front and center to grab attention quickly and incentivize conversion from visitor to "Fan".
- We designed the page to give a quick overview of what these specialty purses could do. Borrowing from the brand's main website, we took the philosophy and created a way for people that were new to the product to see how the purses were unique to others on the market.
- Once a fan liked the page, they were presented with an offer in the form of an emailed coupon. In order to get the coupon sent to them, they needed to input their email address into the simple pop-up form
- Once a user submitted their email address to get their coupon, they were given one final pop-up before taken to the page's wall. This pop-up offered a quick way to share the deal with their friends which enabled them to grow our client's fan page by spreading the word for her organically. This meant $0 fan acquisition for these new likes!
- Finally, we included a link at the bottom of the landing page that allowed people to send an email to the consultant directly with questions. This helped build trust in our client's availability, which in turn meant a high percent of email addresses collected
